I. Performance and Applications:

"YSL" type pre-formed reflective road marking tape is made from a high-molecular-weight flexible polymer. This product is mainly used for road surface markings, such as zebra crossings, double solid center lines, lane dividers, text, and arrows. The accompanying special adhesive has advantages such as high bonding strength, strong initial tack, water resistance, moisture resistance, heat resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and long service life. This product is suitable for asphalt and cement pavements.

II. Usage Environment:

1. Construction should be carried out in an environment where the air temperature is not lower than 4℃ or the road surface temperature is not lower than 10℃.

2. The road surface must be clean, dry, and level.

3. Construction can only begin after the road surface has completely dried following rain. At least 24 hours of drying time is required before construction can commence.

III. Usage Method and Steps:

1. Road surface cleaning. Sweep the road surface where the marking tape will be applied clean. For surfaces with loose debris or small pieces that are prone to falling off, the loose debris must be removed with a wire brush before application.

2. Draw the outline of the marking tape on the designated area. If the temperature is below 10 degrees Celsius, heat the surface with a blowtorch before applying the adhesive.

3. Open the adhesive cap, stir thoroughly, and use a solvent-resistant roller or brush to apply the adhesive evenly and to a moderate thickness within the ground contour line, extending 2-3 cm beyond the contour line. Depending on the surface smoothness, the amount of adhesive applied is approximately 0.3-1 kg per square meter.Adhesive thickness: Ensure the road surface is fully wetted, and the amount of adhesive applied must evenly cover the ground without exposing the original ground surface, ensuring that there is a uniform layer of adhesive on the road surface.

After applying the adhesive, allow it to dry for a certain period. Test the adhesive layer with your finger; if your finger comes off clean, it's ready for application. Apply sufficient pressure when applying the adhesive to the ground to ensure thorough wetting. Pay special attention to the edges and corners of the markers. This process normally takes 3-10 minutes. For smooth surfaces such as ceramic tiles, epoxy flooring, and some marble, clean the surface thoroughly and apply the markers directly without a primer.

4. After pasting the markers along the designated area, manually press them down, then apply pressure with a 100kg rubber roller or by slowly driving over them to ensure proper adhesion. In low temperatures, use a blowtorch to heat the pasted markers before applying pressure. At normal temperatures, heating with a blowtorch before applying pressure will improve adhesion.

5. After bonding using the above method, the road can be opened to traffic. However, the adhesive has not yet reached its optimal strength. Avoid forcibly tearing or peeling the markers within 24 hours and avoid watering the area within 48 hours.

6. If bubbles appear in some areas of the label after pasting, it indicates that the adhesive layer has not been allowed to dry for long enough or that the air has not been completely expelled. You can use a sharp instrument to pierce the bubble to release the air, and then repressurize.

IV. Precautions:

1. During transportation, storage, and use, keep this product away from fire or strong heat sources and ensure adequate ventilation.

2. After application, seal the container promptly to prevent excessive viscosity due to solvent evaporation, which would make application difficult.

3. For asphalt pavements, apply only 15 days after paving and opening to traffic; for new cement pavements, apply only 20 days after paving and opening to traffic, allowing cement slurry and other surface dust to wear away.

4. "YSL" type pre-formed reflective road tape remains effective for an extended period as long as the substrate does not become brittle. The adhesive used in this product has a shelf life of one year. If the shelf life has expired, a test must be conducted before use.
